The new automatic noise reducer can diminish noise and yield clear hearing with no interference in the amplification process. Optimum noise reduction involves calculation of the energies and the masked residual margin of the different critical bands.

If noise is detected, the gain for low-pressure levels is modified (in each band and in real time). It is therefore possible to lower the noise efficiently and to improve the intelligibility of the hard-of-hearing person.

This system has three operating levels, which, upon professional recommendation, can be programmed using the Coda e-STUDIO adaptation system.
